Terms of Use

Who runs this site
Storms That Hit is published by ArtUp Labs, the trade name of Individual Entrepreneur Karpets A.V. (Artyom Karpets), Republic of Kazakhstan. By using the site you accept these terms; if you do not, please do not use it.
What the site is
A free reference site that republishes hurricane tracks, tornado paths and hail reports matched to US cities, one page per place or record. There are no accounts, no payments and nothing to sign up for.
The data is provided as-is
Every figure comes from public federal sources (NOAA National Hurricane Center, HURDAT2; NOAA Storm Prediction Center), matched and summarised by software. The agencies revise their records, and the matching can be wrong. The site is provided as-is, without any warranty that it is complete, accurate or current. If a page contradicts the official source, the official source is right.
It is a history of past storms, not a forecast, a warning or a risk rating. Do not use it to decide whether to evacuate or shelter, or as the basis for insurance, property, lending or building decisions. For current weather and warnings, follow the National Weather Service and local officials.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, the publisher is not liable for any loss or damage arising from using the site or relying on it. Nothing in these terms limits a liability that the law of your country does not allow to be limited.
Reusing what you find here
The underlying federal data is in the public domain, and you can get it from the agencies directly. You may quote figures and short passages from this site with a link to the page they came from. Copying the site, or large parts of it, is not allowed.
Links and advertising
Pages link to official sources and other sites; once you follow a link, that site's own terms apply. The site carries advertising from Google AdSense; ads are chosen by Google, and an ad is not a recommendation by the publisher. How the site handles data is in the privacy policy.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and its courts decide disputes about them, unless the law of your country gives you rights that cannot be taken away. Please write first: most problems are solved by a reply.
Changes
If these terms change, the date at the top changes with them.
