Its peak was 150 mph (130 knots), Category 4, on September 10, and its lowest central pressure was 927 millibars on September 10. It spent about 8 days at hurricane strength. HURDAT2 marks a landfall within 50 miles of a US city on this site: on September 14 at 115 mph (Category 3), 37 miles from Corpus Christi, TX. It has one more landfall in the record farther from the cities here. Its centre passed within 75 miles of 137 US cities, in 3 states and territories, most in Puerto Rico (86) and Texas (45), between September 3 and September 15.
